Charlotte, Get On The Bus: A 50th Anniversary Commemoration of the March on Washington 1

Date:
Saturday, August 24, 2013
Time:
4:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Fifty years ago this month, a quarter million people gathered at the foot of the Lincoln Memorial to hear a call-to-action for the American public to combat the social and systemic inequalities that marginalized people in the United States. The organizer of this crucial march and mentor to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Bayard Rustin, was a Black gay man who brought Ghandi's message of non-violence to the United States. Join us at the National Action Network's 50th Anniversary of the March on Washington as we resound the call for action towards full civil and human equality.

Please RSVP to guarantee your seat on the bus as seats will be reserved on a first-come-first-serve basis.
