World AIDS Day in DC with HRC
Original Site of Whitman-Walker Clinic
1407 S Street NW
Join HRC, Whitman-Walker Health, and several other D.C. area community groups for a candlelight vigil marking the 26th anniversary of World AIDS Day.
Originally founded in 1988, World AIDS Day is an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV/AIDS, to show their support for people living with HIV and to commemorate those who have lost their lives in the epidemic. Leaders from the local D.C. community will lead a brief program in honor of this year’s theme: Getting to Zero. A member of the Federal AIDS Policy Partnership, HRC is proud to cosponsor such an important event.
All HRC members, supporters, friends and family are invited to meet outside of HRC National Headquarters around 4:30 pm (EST) to walk over to the vigil. HRC is located at 1640 Rhode Island Ave, NW. Washington, D.C. 20036. Feel free to email firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions, comments or concerns.
