Please attend our official kickoff event for the Summer Institute Reunion Conference, a panel discussion on "When Identities Collide: LGBTQ Advocates and Religious Conflict" at the Human Rights Campaign Headquarters in Washington, DC on Thursday, July 31st at 7:00 PM.
The panel will be moderated by Rev. Paul Raushenbush, Executive Religion Editor for the Huffington Post and will include Zainab Al-Suwaij of the American Islamic Congress, Dana Beyer of Gender Rights Maryland, Samy Gálvez of Brigham Young University, Dr. Lynne Gerber from the University of California, Berkeley, Cedric Harmon of Many Voices, Dr. Christopher House from Ithaca College and Alex McNeil of More Light Presbyterians.
The evening will commence at 7 PM with the panel discussion and ample time for Q&A and discussion, followed by a reception at 9 PM.
The discussion is part of a weekend conference bringing together emerging LGBTQ religious scholars made possible through a generous grant from the E. Rhodes Carpenter Foundation.
